Job Description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Manufacturing Inspector with a strong background in High Potential testing. This role is responsible for ensuring product quality through incoming, in-process, and final inspections while maintaining compliance with industry standards and safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with electrical testing, the ability to interpret technical documentation, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving quality issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform Hi-Pot testing to verify electrical insulation integrity
  • Set up, operate, and maintain electrical testing equipment
  • Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections (visual, dimensional, and functional)
  • Analyze test and inspection results; document findings and report discrepancies
  • Troubleshoot electrical components and systems to identify faults
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, work instructions, and technical drawings
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards, safety regulations, and quality procedures
  • Record inspection data and maintain accurate quality documentation
  • Communicate effectively with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve issues
  • Follow established procedures when nonconformances are identified
  • Assist in developing and improving testing and inspection protocols

Qualifications & Requirements Experience

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in Hi-Pot testing or electrical testing in a manufacturing environment
  • At least 2+ years of quality inspection experience
  • Strong knowledge of electrical safety protocols and insulation testing principles

Education

  • Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Technical Skills

  • Proficient with testing and measurement equipment
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Reporting Structure

  • Reports directly to the Quality Supervisor

Physical Requirements

Work Schedule

  • Full-time position
  • 8-hour shifts:
    • Morning: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
  • Overtime may be required (including weekdays and Saturdays)

Compensation

  • $28.00 - $32.00 per hour (based on experience)
